zPusteven.cz brings these places closer in photographs and in context. They can also be visited and explored in virtual reality.

The website is designed to be as simple as possible. It offers four main sections that also run into one another, which makes a coherent whole where every part works on its own as well as together with the rest.

Every place comes with a story
The point of the website is to show places in context – their history and their present, their wildlife and plants, and the information that matters when you go to see them.
Every place on the website carries a theme of its own. Out of the individual stories, a picture of the whole region gradually emerges.

Eight things we care about
There is a story behind every place
What a place looks like, you see at once. What brought it into being, what shaped it and what happened there is what turns a point on the map into a place you take to heart.
Verified information only
Everything stated here has been verified and anything uncertain is left out. An error can be reported with a button right on the page for the place.
An overview of the area
One look shows you which places lie close together and which ones you can therefore combine into a single trip.
Photos at full quality
The website keeps photos at the right resolution for every type of screen. Any photo can be opened at up to 4K resolution with a click.
Features for visitors
The website offers filters, favourite places and other features that make it easier to narrow the content down and to find your way around the pages.
Plain information, nothing for sale
No adverts, no recommended businesses. Only general mentions that refreshments are available at a place.
It loads in the mountains too
The pages are light, so they open even where the signal barely breathes. On a ridge, speed matters as much as content.
Five languages
The website speaks Czech, Slovak, Polish, German and English. Visitors from abroad are as welcome here as they are on the ridge.
And then there is Rysík
A lynx cub still getting to know the Beskids – take him with you. It is a playful extra that leads through the same stories and features of the website by a different path. Children enjoy it most.
Rysík does not interfere with the texts about places. You always meet him at the very end of a page, where he nudges you into action. Beyond single actions, you can also set out with him on whole expeditions. As you go along with Rysík, his rank and yours both rise.
